Brainstorming to Envision our Babcock Reunion 2022
Ken and I would like all of us to work together to visualize, imagine, foresee, and prepare for a successful event with input and participation from everyone. No one person is being put in charge, but we want to have the energy, ideas talents, and contributions of everyone come together.
To begin we will set up separate posts for different categories and invite comments and commitments. Preplanning and acceptance of responsibility will be needed for some events to happen. Volunteering is encouraged. Flexibility and spontaneity will be essential. Sometimes we will need to forgive and to be sorry. We trust that we can develop and strengthen connections, friendship, love and trust.
With 10 bedrooms, does that mean that Jane and Ken have a room, and each of their 9 children have a room to figure out how to use for their family? How are rooms assigned or determined?
ReplyDeleteSince family sizes vary and we have more couples than rooms and more people than beds, we could consider different options. Your suggestion of assigning rooms to a family with use to be determined by that family is solution suggestion #1. In that scenario, if Steven's daughters don't come he would still be a one bedroom family and he would have rights to invite guests to join him for all or part of the time. I suppose the same could be true of each of the Babcock siblings. They could have their children (our grandchildren) take turns in the "family bedroom" and occupy air mattresses or couches when evicted. We almost need to use a map or spreadsheet. The information I have is on the bottom of this blog. Maybe the new owners will explain it all differently. There is still the question of which child's family gets which bedroom. Ken and I would want the smallest room with the closest bathroom. This is all going to be tricky.
